In the town of Fulton is the most prominent geologic feature of the area known as Vroman’s Nose. It derives its name from the Vroman family who were given the land in the early 18th century. This oddly-shaped mountain is a popular hiking spot. The 2-mile loop trail is a moderate climb and at the summit is a large flat surface as if a section of the mountain has been sheared off, referred to as the Dance Floor. Be ready for picture perfect views of the Schoharie Valley.
