In Granada, Camp Amache National Historic Landmark preserves the history of more than 7,000 Japanese, most of them American citizens, that were interned here between 1942-1945 after Executive Order 9066. You can drive through the site and listen to narrated podcasts along your tour. We recommend you visit Amache Museum downtown first which helps to put the site into context.
