The Fort Garland Museum is an adobe fort built in 1858. It was once commanded by the legendary Kit Carson, and today you can see interesting exhibits on Carson’s life, the role of the Buffalo Soldiers West, and the Civil War. Explore original and restored buildings and imagine what life was like in this isolated outpost. There is an entrance fee.
