Ten miles northeast of Walden, thrill seeking off-roaders will love the 1,400-acre North Sand Hills Recreation Management Area, which includes 300-acres of sand dunes. There is primitive camping, but no water or firewood available on-site, so come prepared. This area is free, donations appreciated.
