The heart of Audubon House and Tropical Gardens is a 19th-century home built by Captain John H. Geiger which features exquisite antiques and explores the history of gardening. Behold the extraordinary tropical garden filled with orchids and bromeliads, herb garden and 1840-style nursery. Audubon visited here in 1832 and sighted and drew 18 new birds for his “Birds of America” masterpiece. The Audubon House gallery features a collection of Audubon art and prints. There is an entrance fee.
