Interested in quirky roadside attractions? Visit the Gingerbread Castle. Designed by world-renowned architect Joseph Urban, the castle was built between 1928-1930 to tell the story of Hansel and Gretel and features candy cane towers, cake icing turrets and other unusual design ornaments. Once the centerpiece of an amusement park, the castle is now closed and has since fallen into serious disrepair. There is hope that one day it will be restored.
