Poetry fans will want to visit the Robert Frost Stone House Museum, where poet Robert Frost lived from 1920-1929. Built in 1769, the house itself is a rare example of colonial architecture constructed with local stone and timber. His gravesite is in Bennington. A Pulitzer-Prize winning poet, Robert Frost was also a farmer and deeply inspired and passionate about nature. Walk in his footsteps as you explore the grounds and his original apple and birch trees. The museum is open May to November and has a small admission fee.
