For a few weeks beginning in May, Bowerman Basin is aflutter with up to a million shorebirds stopping to feed and rest during their spring migration. Be sure to bring your waterproof boots and binoculars to observe western sandpiper, dunlin, short billed and long billed dowitchers, the semi-palmated plover, and peregrine falcons and other raptors that are drawn by the birds.
