The Maine Maritime Museum explores the maritime heritage of the region beginning with its heyday of wooden shipbuilding. Among the exhibits are thousands of artifacts, photographs, maps and a full size metal sculpture of the “Wyoming”, the world’s largest wooden ship. Included with the entrance fee which is valid for two days within a week, are tours of the Percy & Small Historic Shipyard with original buildings tools and equipment and the Donnell House — the Victorian era home of a shipbuilder.
